Joining Artificial Grass
-
Step 1: Unroll artificial grass into position
Unroll artificial grass pieces side by side. Ensure the grass pile direction faces towards your main viewpoint. Fold back the joining edges by approximately 30cm.
-
Step 2: Cutting bead on artificial grass
To ensure a perfect seam the spacing between beads has to be maintained when joining the grass. On the first piece of grass, cut close to the bead, leaving no spacing and on the second piece, cut leaving the beading space.
-
Step 3: Position two pieces ready for gluing
Create a ‘dry’ join by positioning the two pieces of artificial grass together.
-
Step 4: Unroll joining tape
Once you are happy with the positioning of the grass; fold back the joining edges by approximately 30cm. Unroll the joining tape ensuring the shiny side (green side) is facing down and the blotted side (white side) is facing up.
-
Step 5: Spread glue onto joining tape
Apply adhesive along the length of the joining tape. For best results, use a scraper to spread the adhesive.
-
Step 6: Joining two pieces of grass
Carefully work your way down the seam, joining the two pieces together, making sure no tufts are damaged or buried. Once applied, lightly brush over the seam to pressurise the adhesive
